Oh for crying out loud, how I hate that question. When I am asked about soul mates, it makes the hair on the back of my neck rise.
People, let's get this right. You can have many soul mates of both genders in your life. A soul mate is not someone who will love you unconditionally forever or until death. Those type of soul mates are called cats, dogs, or parrots; the latter will outlive you.
A soul mate is someone you share something with; someone you learn from and who learns from you. It doesn't matter how young or old they are, it matters on the connection. So many people think soul mate means undivided attention, the ultimate in devotion, forever and ever. So many people really suck in people with the soul mate thing. The other things is because they are your soul mate then, they don't have to be in a; week, month, or even year from now. Soul mates are not forever. it is like the right man or woman they may be mister or miss right now but they are not mister or miss right.
Your best friend can be your soul mate friend. Your sister or brother can be your soul mate, and even some of your co workers could be your soul mate in some respects. You may marry someone who is your soul mate in some respects and when you divorce them they definitely aren't anymore.
Soul mates are like busses, there is always another one coming into your life.
